Why is my lesson not confirmed or ‘Pending’?

We require a minimum of 4 people in order to run our group Surf or SUP lessons. If your lesson is not yet confirmed, it means we are waiting for more people to book. As soon as 4 people have joined a group, all guests will receive a confirmation email or text.

Where do I meet you for my lessons?

Broulee Group Surf Lessons/Hires:
Meet at North Broulee Beach: Meet Opposite number 47 Coronation Drive, Broulee approximately 5 minutes prior to your booking time. GPS: 47 Coronation Drive, Broulee. You will see a Surf the Bay Trailer or Van parked on the beach side of the road. There are bathroom facilities 200m walk north of the lesson venue.

Broulee SUP (standup paddle) Lessons/Hires:
Meet at the Mossy Point Boat Ramp. GPS: 165 Annetts Parade, Mossy Point. Meet at the Surf the Bay trailer or Van. Your instructor will usually text you if there is a change to this location. The alternate location is Tomakin Boat Ramp. GPS: 76 Kingston Place, Tomakin. There are bathroom facilities at both of these locations.

Narooma Group Surf Lessons/Hires:
Meet at Dalmeny Beach, Narooma: Meet at the foot of the walkway bridge in the carpark off Mort Avenue, Dalmeny. GPS: 65 Mort Avenue, Dalmeny, you will see the carpark for the beach. Meet your instructors at the Surf the Bay Trailer or Van parked in the carpark near the walkway bridge. There are bathroom Facilities 100m walk north of the lesson venue.

Narooma SUP (Standup paddle) Lessons/Hires:
As above: Meeting at the Dalmeny Beach walkway Bridge. GPS: 65 Mort Avenue, Dalmeny.
Note: This is a Paddle on the beautiful Mummaga Lake, via Lawlers Creek.
Alternatively: Meet outside the Quarterdeck Grill/Café on the beautiful Wagonga Inlet. Riverside Drive, Narooma NSW. There is a park (Quota Park) There for the kids to play and food/toilet facilities.

What is supplied for my lessons/Hires?

As part of your lesson/hire:

  • All surfboards/wetsuits are provided (Surfing)
  • All Standup Paddle boards/paddles included (SUPing)

What do I bring to my lessons/Hires?

The standard equipment list is as follows:

  • Sun protection: Optional: hat, sunglasses.
  • Towel
  • Swimmers

What should I NOT bring?

We recommend you leave valuables like jewellery and mobile phones behind in your car. If you would like to take your mobile phone in order to take photos on the beach this is at your own risk. Please keep in mind we take photos of your experience which you can access off our Instagram or Facebook posts. (could you please hyperlink these to our Facebook and Instagram pages).

What if it’s raining?

Our Surf and SUP (stanup paddle) lessons operate rain, hail or shine! The only time we would postpone, cancel or alter our lessons is if there was a lightning storm or extreme swells. Rain can generally lead to reduced winds and perfect surf conditions.

Are we a Covid Safe Business?

We are a Covid safe practices business. All equipment is sanitised and cleaned every lesson and we have a Covid plan established.

What is our Cancellation policy?

If it is deemed unsafe to proceed due to lightning or extreme weather conditions at the scheduled time, we will offer an alternative booking time for you and if it is not possible due to travel commitments to reschedule a voucher will be offered with an expiry of 12 months.

If a client/s cancels less than 24hrs prior to lessons only under extenuating circumstances will a refund be offered. Rescheduling will be considered.
